Just to complete the picture:

For the last eleven years now, I have used molecular sieves only to
dry THF (and almost any other solvent with the notable exception of
Deuterium Oxide).
The sieves (4A) are dried in an oven at below 250 deg. Celcius
(usually around 220 deg) over night in a round bottom flask with
ground joint. While still hot (very hot) the flask is taken out of
the oven and left to cool down in a strong vacuum. THF may then be
predried and later fully dried with batches of these dry MS.
