Hi,
Iīm synthetizing some galactoside derivatives and I need an amide in a
terminal side chain carboxylic acid og aglycon. Is there any problem if I
use thionyl chloride do make the acid chloride in water and sodium
hydroxide ("shoten-baumanīs condition?)? Iīm afraid Iīll lose the
glicoside linkage and/or the acetyl protecting groups at carbohydrate
moiety...
any helpīs welcome.
Thanks,
Diogo
